Dock1, Germany
As part of the new urban quarter at Zollhafen in Mainz, consisting of a total of 28 building sites, the DOCK1 building ensemble with historic harbour character and maritime flair was built in 2017.
A total of 69 condominiums are spread over five floors with high-quality and modern interior design and balconies or loggias. Facing the harbour basin as well as to the sides, the balconies and loggias were fitted with all-glass railings and frameless balcony glazing from Lumon. Due to a flight path of migratory birds, both the glass railings and the individual glasses of the balcony glazing were printed with a bird protection.
This means maximizing living comfort for the residents of the apartments located directly on the Rhine promenade in a central inner-city location. The project was planned by the architects and urban planners planquadrat Elfers Geskes Krämer PartG mbB from Darmstadt (work phases 1-4). The work phases 5-8 (general contractor award) were commissioned by a5 Planung GmbH from Frankfurt. The client is the LBBW Real Estate Group.
