[PROJECTS] Project spotlights from 2024
During 2024, we had the opportunity to showcase some exciting projects to our customers. The theme of this year’s published projects was especially focused on refining city landscapes through renovation with balcony glazing, as well as sustainability in new construction. Social housing and sustainable building materials came together to bring this year’s project spotlights to life.
El Masnou – Social housing on the hills of Barcelona
Lumon and Peris + Toral Arquitectes teamed up again to create El Masnou, a stunning project in Barcelona’s scenic hills. Read more about the project here.
Loviisa Flagship – Showcasing Finnish wooden apartment construction
Housing association Loviisa’s Lippulaiva in southern Finland showcases innovative wooden apartment construction using pre-fabricated elements. The 35 stylish apartments feature glazed balconies with stunning sea views. Lumon provided silk-printed railings, glass, and blinds for the project. Read more about the project here.
Roots – Germany’s tallest wooden high-rise
An 18-floor project featuring office and exhibition spaces is being developed by Garbe Immobilien-Projekte GmbH. Designed to emphasize sustainability and urban living, the loggias are equipped with Lumon Glazing to improve energy efficiency, enhance comfort, and provide stunning views of the harbor, HafenCity, and city center. The project won Germany’s distringuished B!WRD Project Developer Award for the category “residential” (Wohnen) November 2024 and additionally received third place in the Polis Awards in the category “Ecological Reality.” Read more about the project here.

Rotunda Dynasy – Modern architecture in the heart of Warsaw
Rotunda Dynasy in Warsaw’s Powiśle district blends modern innovation with historic charm, inspired by a 19th-century rotunda. Combining classical design with contemporary materials like concrete, glass, and steel, it bridges past and present. Lumon’s panoramic balcony glazing enhances natural light, comfort, and functionality while protecting against the elements, seamlessly complementing the building’s architecture. Tour Signal – Harmonizing old and new Paris
Lumon provided balcony glazing for the tallest residential building in Saint-Denis’ athletes’ village, installing 90 balconies with 582 panels. Designed by renowned architect Clément Vergély, the eco-friendly residence exemplifies low-carbon, bioclimatic construction and harmonizes with the Universeine eco-district, showcasing the transformation of urban cityscapes toward sustainability. Raw Rooms – Modern and bright apartments in Ibiza
Developed with Peris + Toral Arquitectes, the residential complex features 42 Lumon glazed terraces with 126 glass panels covering 208 m². These balconies blend seamlessly into the design, offering panoramic views and abundant natural light. Read more about the project here.
Luna (Building C) – A distinguished new arrival in Canada
Elements Condominiums by Pratt Homes, the first of three buildings, won the 2023 OHBA Award for Mid-Rise (4-10 storeys) and was nominated for best high/mid-rise condo suite. Located in southeast Barrie, Ontario, Canada the project showcases Lumon’s advanced balcony glazing, offering stunning views, extended living space, and wind protection—setting a new standard for lakeside luxury. Gregers Kvartal: An aesthetic and functional solution for a new development in Løren, Norway
The Gregers Kvartal project at Løren in Oslo revitalizes an older city area with six residential buildings, a kindergarten, and commercial spaces. Developed by Lørenveien 51 AS and AF Gruppen, it features a new square, enhanced pedestrian and cycling paths, and a focus on sustainability, contributing significantly to Oslo’s urban development.
