The founder of Lumon companies, chair of the board and principal owner Tapani Kinnunen was awarded the Finnish honorary title of “Teollisuusneuvos” by the President of the Republic of Finland
29 June 2018
“As the founder of Lumon companies, Chair of the Board and principal owner, Tapani Kinnunen has significantly contributed to developing the glazing and construction industries in Finland and abroad through his own operations, expertise, inspiring attitude and diligence. He has, through the companies managed by him, promoted employment in Finland, and particularly in Kouvola, as well as the economic well-being and export operations in Finland.
Over the past 35 years, the company has grown from an enterprise of a few employees into a family-owned business that provides work for more than 1000 persons. At present, the turnover of the Lumon companies exceeds EUR 120 million. The international operations account for about EUR 40 million of the entire turnover. The business idea of the Lumon companies is to maintain control over the entire supply chain, starting from the product development, through the production, sales and installation of products, up to the maintenance during use.
Together with the partners and the entire personnel, Tapani Kinnunen has, thus, created exceptional business operations that have made it possible to offer steady and long-lasting employment relationships to a wide group of professionals from different fields.”
“The honorary title was given to me but, at the same time, it serves as a recognition for the work performed by all Lumon people. I am grateful to our entire work community for the support and diligence that has enabled our company to succeed. This provides a solid foundation to build the future, too!” rejoices Tapani Kinnunen over the Finnish honorary title.
Congratulations to Tapani for the recognition!
